出尽くした感のある木椅子デザインのブレークスルーを計るべく、トーネットや遙かそれ以前の民具としての椅子をイメージして、それらの形の構成原理を正方形と円で解読することにより、新たな椅子デザインを産み出そうとする試み。 一つのルールのもとでも多様な展開が計れることを示すために、最小限のスツールからアームチェアまでの展開を示した。

This design is an experimental approach to break away from the conventional wooden chair design. With the images of Tohnet chair and the chairs used among people long before its time, a new design approach was sought. The structural principle of the chair was decoded to simple geometry of square and circle. A single rule applies to all the product ranging from a minimal stool to an armchair.
